Hi I'm Rob

I'm an environmental engineer, a husband, a dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life, the outdoors, my family and friends. I have a wonderful wife and three mischievous lil' princesses that fill our home with love - and the pink frilly craziness that comes from dress ups and tea parties. As an environmental engineer, I get to work on projects that benefit our community and help create a sustainable environment for future princesses. I love to BBQ, have friends over, and just chill out watching the big games and eating good food. I live and die each season as my sports teams usually fail. Some things that make me a little unique are that I like to write poetry and I attempt to play the drums (when my kids are awake).

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the tremendous opportunity to be born into a family that attends the Mormon Church and taught its principles in the home. As I grew up attending church and facing the normal adolescent trials, which can be daunting, I learned to rely on my Savior Jesus Christ. I learned that when I came to him through prayer and obedience my prayers were answered, my heart was healed and a path was revealed. As I followed the teachings of Christ in the scriptures, I found peace, guidance, and confidence. The Book of Mormon especially seemed to answer my doubts and seemed easy to understand when I prayed for God to give me His Spirit to guide me. Like a brick wall my testimony of Him and His Church grew one brick at a time, with each new experience.

How I live my faith

I think living your faith starts with obedience. I can't say I'm perfectly obedient, by I am committed to improving each day. I try to live my faith through service and sacrifice. I honestly try to understand and see people as God does. We all come from Him and can return to Him. I have a motto that tries to incorporate those principles and to keep myself from getting distracted from all the worlds busyness. F.O.C.U.S. Faith, Obedience, Commitment, Understanding, and Sacrifice. These principles have helped me achieve many goals including strengthening my spiritual foundation and gaining a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ. With this focus, I am slowly removing things from my life so I can be more like my Him.
