Hi I'm Elyssa

I'm an anesthesiologist, I'm a mother of 4, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am busy. Aren't we all? My career as an anesthesiologist is challenging and fulfilling in many ways. I appreciate what it adds to my life, however, I truly see my greatest joys in being a wife and mother. I love to be with my children, I love driving, practicing, playing, cooking(and eating) with them. We are all still working on liking homework. I am an avid cloud watcher. There is nothing more beautiful to me than the Arizona sky. It has a powerful vastness, colors that amaze, and it is different every few minutes. No artistic masterpiece can compare. I love sports of all kinds and games of all sorts My husband is a great man who loves me despite all my shortcomings and we are enjoying trying to make life great one busy day at a time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of this church. At a very young age, I began to think deeply about what it was I was being taught. I have had many strong spiritual experiences as I studied and asked in prayer if what I read and learned was true. Because of these experiences, I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves all mankind. And I also know this is his church. I know that the Book of Mormon contains his teachings and Joseph Smith was a prophet. Knowing these things gives my life meaning and purpose. I am always trying to improve myself, to be kinder, more like the person I want to be, more like my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by serving others. Some days it is just an extra smile to a patient, or listening to their struggles with health and life. Many days my service doesn't make it outside the walls of my home( trying to be a nurturing, patient mother with clean laundry). I am a den leader for my son's cub scout group which is a lot of fun!
