Hi I'm Daryl

I love to play sports. I love to spend time in the outdoors and with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona. I grew up with a strong passion for sports, track and field and basketball being the two most important. I love to spend time outdoors camping, hunting, fishing and doing things with my family. When I was 19 I served a mission in the Argentina Rosario mission. I am married and have three awesome kids, a girl and two boys. My wife was born and raised in Mexico. We teach our children Spanish and they understand very well, but they prefer to speak English. I went through an electrical apprenticeship and am now a journeyman wireman. I have been an electrician for 6 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the Mormon Church, but as I went through my teenage years I had to find out for myself if it was true and not just go because my parents made me. It was not something that happened from one day to the next. I had my own personal experiences, each one adding to the other and making my testimony grow stronger. Some of those experiences came through trials. There were times when my faith was put to the test. There were times when I wasn't sure about important decisions, such as where to go to school when I finished high school. I look back and see how where I went was exactly where I needed to be at that time in my life. Time and time again I have seen how Heavenly Father has answered my prayers and has never led me astray. My wife and I have had our share of difficulties, just like anybody else. We've had troubles such as a long period of unemployment, a miscarriage, tough economic times. Each time we have put our trust in God he has seen us through these trials, sometimes I still don't know how, and He has made us stronger. The time that I served as a missionary in Argentina was a very special time to me. I have seen people take that leap of faith and I have witnessed miracles in their lives. I have seen them overcome obstacles that they never thought possible. All of these experiences have brought me to where I am today, far from perfection but striving each day to grow closer to Jesus Christ. I will never be able to deny the things I have come wholeheartedly to know are true.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have recently switched from a congregation that met in Spanish to a congregation that holds meetings in English.
