Hi I'm Kyle

I'm a Dad. I live in a desert. I love to fly fish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. I work hard and play even harder. I have the best family. My daughter is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love to fly fish, hunt, and be outdoors as much as possible. When I am outdoors I feel alive and energized. I can find beauty in any landscape from the scorching Sonoran Desert, where I live to the Rocky Mountains where I grew up, to the beaches and surf that I like to visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I was raised with the solid foundations of this church and they helped shape my life from a very young age. I was known as an example in my pre school class. One day the van broke down on the way to school and the teacher asked us what she should do. I said we should say a prayer and the teacher asked if I would say it. I did and the van started right up. I know without a doubt that this church is true. We believe in Christ and follow him as our Savior from our sins. He taught that we should have faith in God, repent of our sins, be baptized, receive the Holy Ghost, and endure until the end of our lives. This is the basic road map of Christs teachings. If we follow them we will be happy.

How I live my faith

Being a mormon is a central part of everything I do. We believe that all of our temporal blessings come from our Heavenly Father. We follow the law of the tithe. We give 10% of our income to the building up of the church and the poor. We also pay tithing in the way of time. The young men of our church give two years of their life to our church as missionaries. I served a mission in the beautiful country of Guatemala. Those two years helped me grow up, be unselfish and blessed my life more than I could have imagined. Being a mormon is all about service to others. "When Ye Are in the Service of Your Fellow Beings Ye Are Only in the Service of Your God"

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

I like to think of church as practice for the temple. We go to church every week and learn things that prepare us for more sacred teaching within the temple. The temple is the house of the Lord. Being worthy to enter his house requires dedication and continued obedience to Gods commandments. Show more Show less
