Hi I'm Peter Strein

I play trumpet, love computers, and currently attend Brigham Young University in Utah. I love God and God loves me.

About Me

I currently attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am majoring in Computer Science, with a minor in math and music. I play the trumpet and sing. My favorite activities are playing on the computer and making music (with my trumpet and voice.) I love dogs. For whatever reason, seeing a dog just make me really happy. I plan on going on a Mormon mission within the next year (roughly summer of 2014.)

Why I am a Mormon

I initially became a Mormon because I was born into this church, but that is not why I am still a Mormon. This church is the one true church of God on the earth. We are the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I believe that, and I know that is true through the Holy Ghost. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God and it was through him that the Book of Mormon was translated, that this church was restored, and that everyone who has faith, repents, and is baptized in it will more fully receive the love and light of Christ. I believe the Book of Mormon is true. I am currently praying and seeking a more definitive answer from God about the truth of this book, but I believe that he will grant unto me my wish someday as long as I keep praying, reading, and following God's commandments. I know the power miracle of forgiveness through our Savior Jesus Christ. Although I am young, he has already saved me from a miserable life of sin. I know that no matter what, Christ loves me, and that he loves everyone around me. In short, I am a Mormon because I am happy. I am happy that I am part of God's true church and I am happy because I have God's light in my life.

How I live my faith

I lived my life in the church as a teenager as best as I could, and continue to do my best currently in college. I go to church every Sunday. I go to church not be social, but to worship God and to feel his love. I read my scriptures every day, and pray every morning and night to God. As a student at BYU, I take religion classes to more fully understand the scriptures. Not only do I do religious things, but I try to follow the commandments of God and be a Christlike person. I do not partake in any drugs, smoke, or drink alcohol or coffee. I try to not be judgmental of other people. When I see a person, I try to see what their true value is, not what it may seem to be on the outside or what other people may say about them. I try to love other's as Christ loves them, and try to help them in any way possible. I am not perfect, but i want to improve and love people more people even more deeply than I currently do. I try to live a life that God wants me to live and a life that Christ would have lived. That is my ultimate goal. .
