Hi I'm Liz

I'm a college student, a dental assistant, a wife and a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 25 yrs old, and I just joined the church about 4 months ago. I'm a college student working on my bachelors of science in microbiology and I also work full time as a dental assistant. I love working out, spending time with friends and family and doing anything outdoors! I've been married to my wonderful husband for over 5 yrs, and we have one beautiful daughter who is almost a year old. Before I joined the church, I was living my life without direction. My husband was an active duty Marine for 4 years, and we were primarily stationed in San Diego, California. I partied all the time, drank, and did alot of things that weren't good for me and ultimately made me uhappy. I always felt like there was someting missing in my life, but couldnt quite figure it out until the missionaries came to my house one day. While normally I would not have payed any attention to them, I suddenly got this strong overwhelming urge to listen to what they had to say, and I'm so glad that I did. The message that they brought me was an answer to many prayers and has brought such happiness and peace in my life that I can hardly express it. While my husband is still not a member, he supports me in my decision to join the church and to raise our daughter in the church. Joining the church has changed my life for the better and I'm not only happier as a result, but also stronger! I urge you in your search of the truth to read the Book of Mormon, to pray about it and search your soul!

Why I am a Mormon

Initially what attracted me to the church was the family values, but after meeting with missionaries, studying the Book of Mormon and the Bible, going to church and praying about the things I had read and was taught, It became VERY clear to me that this was indeed God's word and that this was the true church of Jesus Christ. The way that I felt at church and around other Mormons, and then in studying the scriptures, everything felt right. God answers prayers, and he does have a plan for us. The Mormon faith has brought such joy and comfort in life its almost inexplicable. I'm a Mormon because the church helps me to be a better person, a better wife, and a better mother.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying often, attending church, and helping others out in every opportunity that I can. Currently, I have a calling in the church as a Humanitarian Specialist, which basically means that I help to coordinate church events that provide service and help to those in need. Helping others helps us to be thankful of the many blessings that the Lord has given us and brings such joy to my life!
