Hi I'm Scott Hirz

"I grew up on a farm, I've coached High School Basketball. I'm a Mormon"

About Me

I'm am a proud Father of a beautiful daughter and 3 healthy, athletic boys. I am married to a great woman, her and I together make a great team. I enjoy playing and coaching basketball. I enjoy continuing to help my father on his farm. We live a comfortable/peaceful life out in the country where we enjoy many of life's freedoms and enjoy this amazing world that God has created.

Why I am a Mormon

Strength & Comfort. Those are the two words that I feel as I am Mormon. I feel that the gospel of Jesus Christ is led by our Savior. Being a Mormon means that I have an opportunity to raise an eternal family. I enjoy being able to serve in the church, I find great joy and satisfaction in fulfilling my duty in the church. I have had many instances in my life where I have felt the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and that has either protected me from harm or has strengthened my understanding and testimony of the gospel. We have a Savior that loves each of us and wants us all to return to him. We have a Prophet that is directed by the Savior in leading his gospel. There is true happiness in "Being a Mormon", the values and standards that we live by are for our protection spiritually and physically. I know that I am happy because I am following Christ example and I am so glad to Be a Mormon"

How I live my faith

As I try to be an example to the world, I am proud of the fact that I don't let any harmful substance enter my body. (i.e drugs, alcohol, tobacco) I feel strength in living that commandment. Presently I serve in the Bishopric with two other great men. Yes there are challenges, but through prayer and the promptings of the spirit we are always able to find that Christ is leading this church. I have over the years of service enjoyed working with the youth of our church. I find that they are strong and valiant as they go out in the world and fight for their values and integrity. I have been involved with our community coaching High School Basketball for 10 years. I enjoy helping and getting to know others that are not of my same faith. I, over the years have tried to instill good values and ethics with these young men as I have coached them. They know who I am and what I stand for. My children are also involved in various activities and athletics, and I hope that they carry a legacy of being a honest and respected Mormon.
