Hi I'm Kyrstin

I am a woman who is trying to balance college, being a brand new mom, and being a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a brand new mother to an adorable baby boy and a wife to the most adorable man. My husband and I have been married for over a year now and two months ago welcomed our first child into this world. In these last two months my life has become a big balancing act, because along with changing diapers and cooking dinner I am also a full time college student, majoring in elementary education. I love living a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy cycling, running and working out. It is important to me to stay active. I love being a mom and a wife. I love being a student in school and in life, and I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Like many people I have questioned who I am, why am I here, and is there really a life after this. I too, have been saddened by the fact that I would only have my family for this life and I have made descions that I wish I could erase. The gospel has given me knowledge and HOPE. I know where I came from. I know why I am here and where I am going. I know that I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father who loves me and who has faith in me. I know I have a special purpose here and that is why Heavenly Father blessed me with my husband and son. I know that through the atonement all of my mistakes and shortcoming WILL be erased. The reason, however, I am a Mormon goes a lot deeper than the things I have learned and the knowledge that I have. There have been multiple occasions that the spirit has filled my heart with a peace and a love. He does this so I not only will know what it means to be a Mormon but so I can FEEL what it means to be a Mormon. I am a member of the Lord's church for many reseason but namely because the holy spirit has told me it is the true.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is more than going to church on Sunday and learning about Christ and our Heavenly Father. Being a Mormon is a way of life. I live my faith by not only attending church to worship my God and Savior but by trying to earnestly live each day by showing my Heavenly Father I love him. I do this by trying to follow his commandments. Somedays I am not perfect but I do not get discourged because I know that He is merciful and He will give me another day to try again. I also try to show my faith by teaching my family by example. I try to serve them and others as much as I can. This not only shows who I am but this brings me such joy. I try to show my faith by forgiving others and being patient. Those qualities are the two most Christ like qualities I can think of and there is no better to live my faith than by TRYING to live like my Savior.
