Hi I'm JoLynn

I'm a beach loving, marathon running, southern living mother of four! My motto is "Live Your Life on Purpose"! And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the wife of a super great guy and the mother of four amazing kids! I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Finance. I am blessed to be able to stay at home with my kids! I work part time (from home) as an Accountant for a Event Production company that hosts Marathon & Half Marathon Events! Love my job and the chance it gives me to bring together two of my favorite things . . . finance & running! I love the beach, anything outdoors, and just being with my crew! My number one goal is to live my life as an example of Jesus Christ and make the world a better place! Goal number two is qualify and run the Boston Marathon!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents, and their parents, and many generations back have been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon). Being a member of this faith is a part of who I am, my heritage, but more importantly it is part of my heart and soul! I have a deep and abiding testimony of this Gospel, and a great love for my Savior Jesus Christ. The gospel blesses my life in countless ways, but right now the most significant way that it blesses me is as a mother. I worry about my children and the things they will face in the world. I feel so blessed to have a loving Heavenly Father who cares about me and who blesses me with guidance in raising my children and in keeping them safe. All I have to do is ask, in fervent prayer, and I know He will guide me. To me this is an amazing blessing and comfort, and I feel so fortunate to have this great blessing.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day as I try to be a force for good in the world. I try to pattern my life after the life of my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ! The life of Christ was spent in service to others, and service is a huge part of who I am. I serve as a Visiting Teaching in my local congregation. This is a chance to visit monthly with members of my church and forge friendships and have faith promoting discussions. I also serve with the youth of our congregation as a Young Women's leader. I get to teach lessons, enjoy fun activities and associate with the 12 - 14 year old girls in our ward . . . It is AWESOME! I also serve on my kids school PTO and am always looking for other opportunities to serve in my neighborhood and community. Serving . . . that is how I live my faith!
