Hi I'm Whitney

I'm an Arizona girl who dreams to own a bakery. I love painting my nails. I am always listening to music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona and with the exception of moving around for college, I have lived here my whole life. I love it and although it gets hot in the summer, I enjoy not having to scrape the snow off my car during winter! I just recently graduated from BYU with a degree in Family and Consumer Science Education and would teach Foods and Fashion if I could have my choice. I consider myself a very easily entertained person and find joy in being with family and friends. I love to stay active by working out and have recently started doing yoga and have been loving it! I enjoy playing sports, specifically tennis, and regret not having played when I was younger. I love to bake and am constantly searching for new recipes and trying to bake the perfect cookie. I love it so much I have considered starting my own business, but we will see about that. I paint my nails on a weekly basis and own about 35 bottles of OPI (mostly shades of pink). Music makes me happy and I constantly have it on in the background. I love the mornings and oftentimes feel guilty when I sleep in late because I've missed the best part of the day!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I grew up in a Mormon, church going family, the decision was very easy for me to make to become a member of the church. I was baptized when I was eight years old and know that it was the best decision I could have ever made. Since then I have gained an even stronger knowledge and belief in the church and know that it is true. I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, atoned for our sins because he loves us and he knew we were imperfect people who needed a way to to get back to him. I strive each day to be more like the Savior and know it has made all the difference in my life. Another reason I continue strong in my beliefs in the church is because my family is everything to me. In the church we believe that families can be together forever and this brings so much comfort to me. I am so grateful for the knowledge and testimony I have of this church and know that has been and will continue to be a blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I know that being a member of the Mormon church is not always easy, but I do know it is very fulfilling. I have loved participating in many different areas of the church and am currently working with the women and have loved getting to know each of them better. I love that being a member of the church automatically brings instant friends into your life, and that is one reason I enjoy working with other women who share the same beliefs and interests as I do. Aside from serving in the church, I strive each day to live my faith by praying, reading the scriptures, and trying to become more like Christ. I know that these three things are what get me through the hardships that come with life and I am grateful for the faith I have that will continue to grow throughout my life.
