Hi I'm Roger

I am a husband and father. I enjoy watching all sports and hanging out with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family and many of my closest relationships are with my siblings and parents. I now have a family of my own and love to be with them. I work long hours because I feel a keen responsibility to support my family and allow my wife to be a stay at home mom. We both want her to be there for our kids and she is great with them. Several years ago our oldest son passed away. This was the most difficult time of my life. My religious beliefs and the love of my family and friends have helped me understand why these things happen.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home with parents that made the gospel of Jesus Christ the center of everything we did. I can't remember a moment in my life when I came to know that the gospel is true. I have always known. I try to live what I know the best I can and I attribute the happiness I enjoy in this life to that commitment. The gospel gives me focus, purpose, and joy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. The gospel teaches us to have charity which is the pure love of Christ. Love for others is demonstrated through service. Our church gives us many opportunities to serve. We are organized so that we can look out for everyone in the congregation. I have had opportunities to teach youth and adult classes, console people in dealing with death, visit people in the hospital, move many people in and out of their homes, help the boy scouts, work on church farms, among many other things.
