Hi I'm Cherean

I grew up in Kansas. I am a stay at home mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to sing, dance, act, do art, hang out with my boys (my husband and son that is), and get to know people. One of my favorite things to do is organize parties and get togethers. Being a mother is one of the best jobs anybody could ever ask for. Being both a wife and a mother brings me more joy than I ever thought possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because several years ago I read the entire Book of Mormon and knelt down and prayed and asked God if what I had read was true. In that instant I knew it was true. Since then I have received several witnesses that not only is the Book of Mormon true but that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church on the earth. There have been times when I have contemplated doubting what I had prayed about, but then a quote from Joseph Smith would come into my mind,"I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it." I couldn't deny because I knew that God knew that he had witnessed to me of the truthfulness of what I had read. Throughout all of this God's love has been ever present. I know God loves me a great deal and that he is indeed my eternal Father in Heaven. And I know that he has restored his gospel on the earth today and that I am a part of it.

How I live my faith

I am in charge of writing things down for meetings and a lot of the paper work for the women at church. I also help visit some of the women. Another woman and I will visit two or three women a month. We will share a quick church message and then see how they are doing and find out if there is anything we can do to help them. I love being able to serve the Lord by helping take care of his sweet daughters. I also read from the scriptures and pray with my family. More than living my faith I try to become my faith. To become what the Lord would have me be, for He truly makes me more than I am.
