Hi I'm Becky

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother. I teach piano and work part-time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a Mormon in Utah and went to school to become a nurse. My husband and I moved to Virginia where we lived for 32 years. We raised eight wonderful children there. We loved gardening, home renovation, going to the beach, and having people over for dinner. Life was hectic but happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is my life. I know where I came from, why I'm here, where I'm going when I die. I know as I have tried to live the teachings of Jesus Christ I have been happy in spite of trials and struggles and disappointments. I know that my husband and family and I will be together after we die. I love that there is a living Prophet on the earth who gives us counsel from our Father in Heaven, helping us avoid so much of the pain and unhappiness we see in the world. I love having a community of dear friends at church to strengthen me and help me when I am weak.

How I live my faith

I teach the young women, ages 14-15, on Sundays and participate with them in weeknight activities. I play the organ at church. I visit two dear elderly women monthly to bring a gospel message and find out how they are getting along. I spent time studying the scriptures daily. I write letters to my son serving a mission in Mexico. I serve wherever I can.
