Hi I'm Benjamin

I'm an athlete, but also a geek - a builder, but more of an educator - most of all, a husband and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Scouts and legos helped me get started, then I moved on to pole vaulting, adventures with friends video games, and skiing (water and snow). I don't spend as much time on the hobbies as I used too, now I spend my efforts becoming a better builder, educator, member of the church, father and husband. As much as I love to build big buildings, I love learn and share what I have learned to help others. More than building and teaching, I strive to be a good father (currently of four) and husband.

Why I am a Mormon

At a time I was lost and did not know who I was. A gruff Sunday School teacher who sometimes slipped and cussed during lessons, challenged me to find out why I came to church each week. I realized I had been coming because my parents expected me to, and while that had been good for a long time, I needed to find out if I was a Mormon because my parents were or because I wanted to be. I read the scriptures and prayed to find out for myself if being a Mormon was the right thing to do. I learned for myself that "He is God", Jesus Christ is my Savior, and exercising faith in Him and His teachings is the best possible way to live my life. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be truth, and by living it i can become closer to God. I am Mormon because God literally answered my prayer, when I personally asked for truth I received it. I continue to be Mormon because it is the best option I have found for following the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

At work I help people build buildings it is my job to get them the information that they need to coordinate and complete the various pieces of work that become a building. At church, I have been asked to be the Scoutmaster and adviser for the 12-13 year old boys, so get to provide them with the information they need to become men, husbands and fathers.
