Hi I'm Rachelle

I am a wife and teacher. I'm a Latter Day Saint.

About Me

I am going to college to become a teacher. I currently work at a childcare center teaching my own class of four year olds and loving it. I am happily married to the love of my life, there's nothing better than being with him not only in this life but for all eternity. I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, quilting (on occasion), scrapbooking (although I haven't had a chance in a while), and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My mom taught me that keeping the commandments, learning of Christ and the Lord's plan for us, will bring blessings. I can testify that I have been blessed; I know that if we keep the commandments the Lord will be with us. I know that my Father in Heaven watches out for me and loves me very much. I know He wants me to be the best I can be. I strive every day to live up to my potential and become who my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I testify that as I read my scriptures and say my daily prayers Heavenly Father is there for me and answers my prayers, although I may not know it at that moment but I testify that he does answer our prayers in His own way and time. I know that Joseph Smith is a true and living prophet who restored the gospel to these latter days. I know he is the reason I enjoy the blessing of the gospel in my life today. I know that we have a true and living prophet on the earth today and that he speaks to our Heavenly Father, and he receives revelation not only for himself but us as a church as well. I know the prophet cares for each of us and is praying for us. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ lives and that he died for us. I know, and have felt the power of the atonement in my life, it is real. It is up to us to test the atonement out for ourselves and feel of its power and the love of our Savior. I testify that families can be together forever, and I’m so grateful for that knowledge. I know I will see those who have died again someday. I know I will be with my husband and family for all time and eternity because we have been sealed in the Temple. The blessing of the gospel are what makes this life bearable.

How I live my faith

I strive to read my scriptures and pray every day. I keep the commandments and the word of wisdom. I know that when I do these things the Lord blesses me abundantly. I pay my tithing every chance I get; I testify that when we pay our tithing the windows of heaven are opened unto us. I go to church every Sunday and renew my covenant. I go to the Temple whenever possible to renew my covenants and do work for those who have passed on. I teach the sunbeams (3-4 year olds) in primary. I strive to do all I can to help those around me. I enjoy my callings and try to fulfill them to my best ability. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life, it makes me very happy.
