Hi I'm Christine

I love my family with all my heart. I enjoy reading, hiking, camping and finding beautiful and interesting rocks. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 6 and grandmother of 7. My husband and I met in high school and have been sweethearts ever since. Having a husband who is so true and dependable is an immeasurable blessing. Together we have raised our children and together we mourned for our loss as one returned to Heaven. I love my family and enjoy taking creative photographs of them. These pictures preserve my wonderful memories of them. I have home-schooled all of my children, which was a great pleasure for all of us. My husband and I adopted one of our children from a foreign land, what a daring enterprise that was! My daughter and I love to travel together and have had some wondrous adventures. How blest I am to have a daughter who says I am her favorite traveling companion. How I treasure the times I can spend with my family! Our family loves nature and spending time in the great outdoors. How thankful I am to my Heavenly Father for the beauties of this planet Earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 6th generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and although I have had the great blessing of being born into this wonderful circumstance I still had to discover the truthfulness of the gospel for myself. As a young teenager I fasted and prayed to know the Lords will for me. Receiving answers I knew what path my life must take and I have done my best to stay the course. I am so grateful that I had been taught at a young age of the Savior and how to petition him in prayer. I have had many trials in my life, without the gospel I have no idea how I would have survived them. There has been serious illnesses, accidents and yes, even deaths. These I know are all part of this earthly life and none here are immune, but with the gospel of the one and only true church I had direction and support, for the Lord was on my side and he has never failed me. As we stood around the bed of our dying child we had the knowledge that our family had been sealed in a temple of our God and the separation we were experiencing would not be forever. Three years later this experience was repeated when a sweet grandchild passed. We are a forever family and we have a promise, if we live worthily, when we meet in the heavens, our family association will continue. This fact gives me the hope and strength to keep moving forward and still able to find joy in this life. With Holy Scriptures as my guide, and a prophet of the Lord's words to follow, I cannot fail.

How I live my faith

I strive every day to leave each place I visit better than I when I arrived, whether that means picking up a piece of trash in the park or helping a neighbor by bring in a needed meal. I try to always be a good example in being honest, true and chaste. I work with small children in church. I enjoy this immensely. You always know where you stand with children because they truthfully tell you. I find this refreshing. I have a beloved aunt who's creed I've also adopted, which is; "I don't want to meet my maker after this life looking like I haven't accomplished anything. I want the reflection of my experiences to shine in my face."
