Hi I'm Becky

I live in Washington, I've been married to my best friend for 25 years. We have 3 children, I make wedding cakes and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I live in a small town, and love it! I'm happily married to my best friend, we love to walk, hike, dirt bike and scooba dive together. Sometimes we take our 3 children with us. Our oldest daughter is married and she and her husband are working and going to school. Our son just graduated from high school and is going to the community college. Our youngest daughter is in high school and plays volleyball, it will be a sad day when she leaves home. When I graduated from high school, I moved to Seattle to work in a bakery for the summer. I loved it and never went back to Utah. I met and married my husband there. I worked at the "Upper Crust Bakery" for 5 years until I was pregnant with our first child. Since that time I have been making wedding and specialty cakes out of our home, wherever we have lived. I live to read, garden, bake cookies, sew, quilt, paint....I just love to do things with my hands!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. My father was converted just before he married my mom. His excitement of having the gospel in his life has kept our family very active. I think I was born with faith, I've never doubted that the gospel is true. I have had to fast and pray to strenghen my testimony in certain areas...and that has been a wonderful experience. I love reading the scriptures.. especially the Book of Mormon. It is a second witness of Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful for our Savior, His life and example. His willingness to suffer for our sins and die for us that we might be resurrected and be able to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus again, if we live righteously and endure to the end! That is the challenge of life...I am a mormon because I believe that this is true, and that I have to work each day to live the way He would want me to. I know the true gospel was restored to earth again, I know we have a prophet that leads us just like in long ago days... because I prayed and found out for myself!

How I live my faith

In our congregation or ward, I work with the teenage girls. We have a time at church that we can meet with the girls and have a spiritual lesson. We teach the gospel and talk about how we can live it better. We talk about prayer and how that is our link to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, We try to help them understand the scriptures and learn to love them. We talk about being honest and kind, being dependable, full of integrity and living a virtuous life. We want them to be happy and love themselves. On wednesday nights we get together again for a fun activity. We want the girls to get to know each other, be a support for each other and help each other live a good life. I have worked in alot of positions at church and I have loved each one..It has helped me grow spiritually myself. I have also loved working with different people and getting to know them...pretty soon everyone you go to church with is a friend, someone that you can trust and practically call family.
