Hi I'm Amber

I grew up in California. I moved to Colorado when I was seven. I am married and have two children, one living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one out of the six siblings in my family. I have two sisters and three brothers. I love my big family! We enjoy doing things together especially outdoors. I love to sing, dance, laugh, do service for others, go to church and I love to eat a variety of different foods. I have worked at a daycare and an elementary school. I was a waitress and have done catering and only went to college for one semester. I'm laid back and enjoy whatever comes my way. My wonderful husband and I have been married for almost six years. We met in fifth grade and have always been friends. We lost contact at one point but reunited when I was twenty years old and from there our relationship took off! We were sealed in the Denver Temple in November 2005. We had our first baby boy in septemeber 2006. We were so thrilled! I have always loved kids so it was really exciting knowing we were going to start our own family. After having our first boy we tried for over a year and a half to have our second. We finally did and found out it was a girl! Our family loves to go on trips, boating, on walks, go to the park, watch movies, play games and hangout with friends and family. We love the outdoors, camping, four wheeling, hikes, pretty much anything and everything. I have always been a homemaker and I have been so grateful for that!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. My parents are both members. You might be thinking...well she has been raised in the church..of course she would continue to be a member. That is not the case. I have had choices as I was getting older to decide for myself if this was what I wanted. I had been to other churches before and I liked them but they were just not the same. I am a Mormon because I choose to be and because of the feeling that I get when I am at church. I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of it's gospel. I am a Mormon because I love being one and I feel like it's where I am supposed to be. I am a Mormon because I feel comfort in knowing that there is always an answer to what I am seeking and in what I am doing. In december 2010, I had lost my son to cancer. It was heartbreaking to watch my child suffer and just as bad saying goodbye. One thing about being a Mormon is that I have been tought that this life is not the end but that we will live with our Heavenly Father and loved ones again. As members of the Church, we also believe that families can be together forever. I know this to be true and I KNOW that I will see my four year old, son, again. This is some of many reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Praying...I am always praying. I also read from the Book Of Mormon and get to learn more about our Savior by applying His teachings in my home and in my Life. I get to work with the adorable children in my ward. I sing with them and as a secretary I ask the children to particapate by giving a talk, to say a verse in the scriptures, or a prayer each Sunday. I go visit and teach two women in the ward. It's a way for us, as members, to see how they are doing, teach a lesson and to get to know them as individuals. How I live my faith is not only by attending church but applying what I learn at church in my everyday activities.
