Hi I'm John Aegerter

Mormons are cool.

About Me

Life is good. I have been married for just over three years. After graduating from college, we moved to the Seattle Area for work. I enjoy spending time outside and staying active - even in the rainy Seattle weather. I also like traveling, going to movies, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for many reason. Growing up in a "Mormon" family, I was able to see the blessing of growing up in the Church. I high school, I asked my dad why he believes in the Church and its teachings. He responded, "it works." I remember thinking how overly simple that seemed. As my understanding of the Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ increases, I often reflect on my father's words, "it works." Now a little older (just a little) and starting my own family, I appreciate how the Gospel has blessed, and continues to bless my life. The Church's focus on the importance of family, being active in your community, and living a Christian life is a constant reminder of the mission of Jesus Christ. The Church is true because it works.

How I live my faith

When most people think of Mormon missionaries, they picture young men (sometimes on bikes) wearing white shirts, ties, and name tags. We believe that every member is a missionary. "Preach the Gospel always, if necessary use words." I am the first to admit that I'm far from perfection, but I do try to show my beliefs through my actions.
