Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon. I am a California native from Ventura County and grew up near the Pacific ocean. I am now living in Colorado.

About Me

I am a Master Auto mechanic and love 2nd generation Trans Am's. I am Amateur Raido operator and hold an Advanced Class FCC License. I have 4 wonderful children 2 boys and two girls. I was raised in the southern California area and love it well but I really enjoy Northern Colorado now. It reminds me of Ventura County in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s. I love to work all day outside wearing my cowboy hat, in the sun, rain and snow. Sometimes all in the same day! Being a Mormon helps to really see everything as it really is and how important Jesus Christ is to me and my family. I have done a lot of really dumb things, in my life, but the smartest thing I have ever done is to fully commit my life to Jesus Christ's true Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I chose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints is I know that it is true. I do not think it is true, I know it is true. The true Gospel of Jesus Christ is one that challenges every one who really wants to know for himself or herself, if it is true, to study, think very seriously about what you have studied and then pray to God, asking if what you have heard and read is true. No man or woman can give you that witness but God himself can and will let you personally know what you need to know about his true church. He hears our sencere prayers and will answer them to anyone who will listen for his influence. I live in a daily stream of reassurances from my Heavenly Father of the truth of his teachings as given through the true Prophets of God as contained in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I am amazed at where I am going by listening to the truth that most people don’t give the time of day to. It took me awhile to grow in a more full appreciation of what His church can do to improve ones life but it is well worth the effort day by day

How I live my faith

I work as a service advisor in a local car dealership. I belong to a growing local ward that is in the process of building our own local ward house. But for now we meet in Greeley, Colorado about a 15 mile drive to the Stake center. I am a group leader of men of generally more mature backgrounds. I have three great assistants who help me and others teach and organize our group. We just had a very successful community event for the town of Windsor where we donated over 650 man hours to helping clean up our public parks and shore lines. Who would of thought that hard work could have been so much fun! It help the community and developed great fellowship, working side by side, with a few members that did not know each other that well. Once a month I check in with the Denver welfare radio net for emergency communications in case of phone and internet disruptions. We have people all over northern and central Colorado check in and test their ability to make emergency contact
