Hi I'm Jerry L. Mills

I am a convert to the Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married, a father of four children and a grandparent. I am the author of two business books and am the Chief Executive Officer of a consulting firm.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not born into a Mormon family. My family was agnostic. I am not sure where my belief in God came from, but it started as a teenager. I studied the New Testament and started to believe in Jesus Christ. I felt that any church that proclaimed to be of God had to be organized after the same manner of the church created by Jesus Christ. He formed it with prophets, apostles and others with His authority. The Mormon church is formed after that same manner. The Book of Mormon helped convert me to the Church and its principles. I view the King James Bible and the Book of Mormon as my dearest friends.

How I live my faith

Living our faith begins at home. We have taught our children correct principles from the day of birth. We have prayed together and played together. We have studied the scriptures to try to better understand the doctrine of God and of Jesus Christ. We consistently have gone to our church meetings, had family home evening and have encouraged family unity. One of our sons helped a shelter for battered women as his Eagle Scout project from our church. We take meals and food to the poor at Christmas and other times. We try to quietly serve and to be good examples.
