Hi I'm Andrea

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of eight and grandmother of 14 (with more coming). I've been married 43 years and truly enjoy my role of nurturing all these people. I'm a musician, which gives me a lot of enjoyment. I play the piano and the organ. When I was young, I loved to play the flute in bands and orchestras. I like to brag to people that I played in the first Super Bowl! I was in the University of Arizona band and we did the half time. One of my favorite things to do is play the piano while my children and grandchildren gather around and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly believe this is Christ's church upon the earth. I was blessed to have been born in the church, but I'm still in it 64 years later because of my own spiritual awakenings and experiences. My life has not been without challenges, but with the strength the gospel gives me, I have found great peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis. This is not just a Sunday religion. One of my favorite jobs in the church is visiting teaching. This is where two women are assigned to about 3 or 4 other women in our local congregation and we visit in their homes each month and see how they are doing and give them a short spiritual message. If there is a need, we try to either help them ourselves or get help for them. I've taken in many a meal for new mothers or ladies who have had illness or surgery. The love we gain for these sisters is a beautiful thing!
