Hi I'm McKayla

I am from Colorado, I love my family, I am the youngest of four kids, I am a student, a sister, an aunt, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Brigham Young University, studying Human Development. I love being able to feel the Spirit while receiving a higher education. Some of my favorite things to do are cooking, scrapbooking, laughing, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I also like to write in my journal so I remember important things that happen in my life, just like Nephi and many other ancient prophets have done. I love spending time with my friends and family, especially my niece, Maya, who is seven years old, and is excited to be baptized this summer. Maya and I love to swim, watch movies, and sign to each other in ASL.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the only true Gospel on the Earth. I know I have a loving Heavenly Father who loves me, and knows me personally. I know that I have a specific plan on this Earth, and although there may be difficult trials and bumpy roads I come across, I know my Savior has a complete understanding of my pain, suffering and afflictions because he has paid the price for me. Joseph Smith was truly inspired of God and was able to bring forth the Book of Mormon and restore the true Gospel on this Earth. Thomas S. Monson is our beloved living prophet today who leads and guides our church. I know that when we listen to the counsel from our Bishops, Apostles and Prophets, our lives will be blessed and our happiness will continue to grow and we become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by remaining worthy to hold a temple recommend. This includes dressing modestly to show respect for my Heavenly Father and myself, being an full tithe payer, living the law of Chastity and the Word of Wisdom. I attend my church meetings regularly and I have a testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know he is our perfect example, and because of his sacrifice, I will one day return to Him. I know that through the power of the temples, I will marry a worthy priesthood holder and be sealed to him and my future family for time and all eternity.
