Hi I'm Emily.

I'm from Denver. I'm a student at BYU. I'm a dancer. I will be serving a mission in Virginia for 18 months. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a BYU student studying Elementary Education. I am a lover of great books, romantic movies with happy endings, clothes and lipstick. I am going to serve a mission in Virginia for the next 18 months & I am excited to teach people about God's love for them and Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God loves me so much and that I am His daughter. I know that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for us--Jesus suffered and died so that I could be forgiven of my sins. I know that through Him, I can find peace in my darkest hour and can receive comfort when I am sad. I find joy in knowing that I will never be alone. I will always have my family with me. I know that because of Jesus, I can be with my family forever; When I die, that won't be the end because there really is life after death. That is why I am a Mormon. Being a Mormon offers me exactly what I need in order to have eternal happiness and that is to me is the most important thing ever. I am a Mormon because I want to be with God and Jesus again and I want to be able to surround myself with the people I love for the rest of my life. Practicing Mormonism is my way of praising God and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus. I work towards being as kind and helpful to others. I try to once a day do a secret act of service for someone that I go to school with, my friends, my family or even a neighbor! That is something specific that I do based on the things that I learn in church every week. I just try to make others happy and in return, I am happy too!!
