Hi I'm Elsie

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I spend my free time researching my Family Tree.

About Me

I am a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I worked in California for an electronics company in the testing department, and also for a pharmaceutical company in Kansas City, Mo. After I retired my husband and I moved to Tucson, Arizona. In Tucson I did volunteer work at a community center, and was also on the Board of Directors at the center. I was on the Board of Directors for a homeowners association for three years. I felt the work was very rewarding. My main interest is in doing genealogy work. I have served as a Family History Consultant, and Librarian at my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in California in a small town during the days of the great depression. My father was a Mormon, but there was not a Latter Day Saint Church where I lived. We went to several other churches until the Mormon church rented a hall in town for services. That was when I was about ten years old. It was a time when there were very few mormons in California. When I was twelve years old I was baptized, and confirmed a member of the church. Over the years I have gained numerous testamonies. I know the church is true, and I have felt the spirit in my life.

How I live my faith

I enjoy visiting teaching, and feel it is an honor to visit the other sisters. When I was younger I was a primary teacher. I especially enjoyed working as Family History Consultant. I feel it is important to be involved in genealogy work. I have been involved in community service in several towns. I feel it is important for me to be involved in service to others.
