Hi I'm Addison

I am the sixth of eight children. I run, hike, camp, and enjoy family time. I am an eagle scout and pilot wannabe. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in the same small town in the foothills of Mt. Rainier all my life. Within the town I have only lived in three houses and my current house I'm in is the one I have lived in the longest and loved the most, it is a small farm on the outskirts of town. I have always loved the outdoors and spend any time I get hiking, camping, and running. Most of all my time and activities is spent with my family and I love every second of that time. My parents are amazing! My dad works for Boeing and my mom works around the house, both have taught me about everything I know and have been two of the biggest influences in my life. Now that all my older siblings are gone I don't know what to do half the time. Besides the outdoors I also love airplanes, most of that interest has come from my dads amazing work at Boeing and also knowing a pilot who has been a great mentor and friend to me. My love for flying has begun at a young age and has only grown since. I have grown up in the scouting program and earned my eagle scout award not long ago. I am a high school graduate and uncle of thirteen.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have been raised in the church since birth, I was not born knowing that it is true. Coming to know that this is true is something I have constantly worked on. As I have lived the gospel of the church, I have seen how blessed my life has been. I prayed to my father in heaven to personally know for myself that the church is true and he answered that prayer. That is why I am a mormon. I truly know that this is the only true church on the earth, and this is the Lords gospel for the world. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and he restored the Lords church in these latter days. Why would one suffer so much, even death, if it was not true. I know president Monson is the living prophet today. The priesthood is real, and I have seen its power. The Book of Mormon is true, the great people within really lived. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know without a doubt that God lives and his son Jesus Christ. We lived with our Father in Heaven and our Brother before we came to live on earth and will return to them after this life. I have a strong testimony of the Atonement. I am eternally thankful for my heavenly brother who loved me enough to die for me, and my Heavenly Father who gave his son as a sacrifice for my sins. I have felt the power of the atonement in my life and have become a better person through it. Gods’ love is real and unconditional. He knows each of us personally and wants us to return to him with all his heart. I owe everything to him, for he has truly given me everything I have. I look forward to serve as a missionary for the church and teach others about Christ to bring them closer to him. I truly believe in this great and marvelous work. I am grateful to be apart of it not only in my mission, but also for the many years of my life after I return. I want to serve as faithfully on earth as I did in heaven. This is my testimony. I have felt the spirit and cannot deny it. I truly believe in prayer. I know God does answer each of them.

How I live my faith

One of the most wonderful parts of our church is that I get to live my faith in my everyday life. Whether its personal scripture study and prayer, an activity with my family, or an activity with my ward, theres always something I can be doing. Each sunday I have the opportunity to start my week by attending our church ward meetings. There I am able to learn more about the saviors gospel and talk about any upcoming events. I currently get to work with the missionaries. During the week when they need my help, I am able to go with them to help with lessons and service.
