Hi I'm Heather C. Hansen

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Idaho until I was 11 and then spent the rest of my school years in Utah. I now live in Colorado.

About Me

I am 31-years-old, I have a great husband and 3, almost 4, wonderful children. We love to spend time together as a family. However, we are very busy. It is very difficult to balance school for the kids, work between my husband and I, and church. My husband works full-time, and I work part-time from home as a medical transcriptionist. I love being a stay-at-home mom, and I really enjoy being able to also provide some money for our family as well since it is necessary in this economy. As I said, things are very busy, but somehow we are able to make it all work. Our faith is what keeps us grounded and together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I was born into a family who were already mormons. My parents both came from mormon families as well. I was raised in a loving but strict/structured mormon home. My dad was a Seminary teacher for our church, which is a mormon religious teacher for high school students. I learned a lot from my dad, and his testimony really helped my testimony grow. Also, he passed away when I was 17, and so our family became stronger because of our faith that families are forever. My mom also is a woman of faith, and I am lucky to have been raised by her as well. I have a testimony of forever families and temples, which is what makes us a forever family. I am so lucky to be a part of this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church and teaching my children what I believe. I am a teacher in our church. I teach 10 and 11 year-old girls in my ward. I really enjoy my calling, and the girls I teach are really open to learn and soak up the spirit. I learn so much when I teach them the lessons each week.
