Hi I'm Marcia

I was a Russian orphan and am a registered nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Russia, adopted when I was eight, and currently live in United States. I partially grew up on a farm, went to universities, earned my nursing degree, and am currently working as a registered nurse. I love to read, jog, sing while I cook, play the piano, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am an LDS member (Mormon) because I have truth. What good is life if it was all a lie? The truth we have is real and is right. I cannot deny what I have felt and what I know because I would be lying to myself. I refuse to live my life on this earth with a lie. After all, I only have one life to live so why be dishonest to myself? I am an LDS member because this church teaches the ways of Christ and how we can be happy and thankful. I am not perfect, no one is, however, I can repent and become better and better because of Christ. This church is a refuge for me. I have a desire to improve myself because I want to be closer to my Maker.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is by doing the little things because it is those little things that will lead me back to God. Some of these things are studying the scriptures (Book of Mormon and Bible) daily. The Book of Mormon truly testifies of Christ. It is a comfort and a strength for me. By living its teachings I have felt the love of the Savior more and more. Because of that book, my desire to help people has increased. That book is truth. It is a witness of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was the translator and was a prophet. Anyone can know that for themselves. All they have to do is get down on their knees and ask. Another way I live my faith is by praying. I know God is there. He hears my prayers and answers them. He may not always answer them right away so it is important to put your trust in His timing. Another way I live my faith is by faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is an ACTION! You have to trust Him and do the things He would want. Follow His example. He was hung on the cross and was resurrected. This means He lives today.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being an LDS member (Mormon) is like any other life. We play sports and are competitive just like any other person out there. I played sports in middle and high school and got pretty competitive sometimes. In fact. We are musically talented, just like other people out there. I sing, play the violin and the piano. We are great cooks as well, like other people in this world. We go to school and get our degrees. I became a registered nurse. We join the Military service. I did mild Military training for a very short time until my health decided otherwise. Show more Show less
