Hi I'm Steve

I'm a web developer, I'm a nerd, and I'm a soon to be father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was an Army brat when I was younger and had the opportunity to live in several different states and even spent 4 years in Germany. We wound up in Texas before I started middle school, and I now claim that great state as home. I served a mission for 2 years in East L.A. It was there I learned to speak Spanish. I've been married for over 2 years to my beautiful wife and love sharing my life with her. We are excitedly awaiting the arrival of our first child (she's a girl) in February. I'm excited to become a father.

Why I am a Mormon

The church brings happiness and meaning to my life. Through it, I've learned more about my Savior, Jesus Christ, and it helps me to become more like him. It also gives me assurance that my relationships in this life will continue even after death. I have learned for myself that the church's teachings are true through living those teachings, personal study of the scriptures, and prayer. I know that everyone can come to know that the Book of Mormon is true by studying its teachings and praying to our Father in Heaven to know that it's true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending and participating in church activities. I try to do what I think my Savior would do. Currently, I'm involved in my ward by teaching a sunday school class for young men and young women that are 14 and 15 years old. I think I have learned more than they as I study the teachings in the Book of Mormon and prepare to help them apply its teachings in their own lives.
