Hi I'm Carter

I grew all over the world, I was an Air Force brat. I've been married for 5 years. My wife and I recently adopted a baby girl.

About Me

I love all kinds of music, from classical, progressive rock, heavy metal, and industrial. I'm a singer, I like to go sing Karaoke with my Dad, Brother and Uncles. I work for a cellular phone carrier, in their consumer financial services. I have two college degrees in Computer Electronics and Networking. Our adopted daughter is one quarter Japaneses, one quarter caucasian, and half african-american. I also love to read, especially science fiction and fantasy. I read about 15 to 20 books a month. It is my dream to someday be a published author.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is my personal savior. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is scripture written by Prophets of God who live in the Ancient Americas. I believe that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints regarding the purpose of life and what to expect in the next life to come, after death, are true. I believe that we are children of our Heavenly Father, our God, and lived with him before we were born into this world. I believe that we will return to live with him after we die. I believe that we can find true happiness and joy in this life as we live by the commandments, and we are blessed for our obedience. These commandments include living a moral life, and being healthy by avoiding food and drink, including alcohol which have a negative affect on the body.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every Sunday, including a sacrament meeting, sunday school, and a meeting with holders of the Priesthood. In my church I also hold a calling, which is a volunteer position serving the members of the church. My calling is to be an assistant clerk, specifically I handle finances for our congregation. I work closely with the Bishop to collect and record donations and to write checks for welfare purposes, to assist those in need.
