Hi I'm Kinzie

I'm a simple country girl, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a sophomore student in college. I love going to school! I'm majoring in Communications with an emphasis in broadcasting. I have some of the greatest examples (roommates) I could have ever asked for. My family consists of strong members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have three siblings, two older sisters, who have both been sealed in the temple to their eternal companions, along with my parents. Then I have a younger brother. I am a cowgirl, and love animals! I was raised in a very small town, and am very country. I guess you could say I'm a southern belle (even though I'm not from the south, so I'll consider myself a "Western Belle") I also love sports, and am quite competitive. Basketball is definitely my favorite! I played basketball my freshman year of college, (yeah I'm a baller ;).. ) and am currently on my school's rodeo team! My best friend is currently serving the Lord for two years on an LDS mission. I love hearing from him, and all that he has accomplished in such a short time. My first year of college was definitely a testimony builder. Without the friends I met throughout the year, my family, and the gospel, I don't know where I would be today. I laugh at everything!! To me, laughter is the best medicine, and I can't go a day without it. My friends always come to me if they ever want to be funny. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the religion, and couldn't imagine myself in any other. I was baptized at the age of 8, which is the age of accountability. At that age, I can't say that I fully understood why I chose to be baptized, I just followed the teachings of my parents and church leaders. When I grew older, I actually understood the covenants that I made with God on that special day, and am soooo glad that I did! I am still learning, and will continue to do so as i grow older. The Book of Mormon has been a prized book in my life. I turn to it when I need help or guidance, or even when I just want to feel good. My testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was confirmed, and strengthened when I went on a Church History tour after graduating high school. There was no way I could deny the fact that Joseph Smith was a true and living prophet. I am not one to cry, but I'll admit, there wasn't a site that we visited that I didn't shed a few tears. It was truly one of the most amazing experiences I have ever been on.

How I live my faith

I am an active member while I'm attending college, and I love every minute of it. I have a calling in my Young Single Adult Ward. I am a Family Home Evening Coordinator, and do all I can for that.
