Hi I'm Ruth

I am a musician, an avid reader of historical fiction and I am nuts about my eight grandchildren. I am a mormon.

About Me

I love music and have used this interest and talent in many ways throughout my life. I play the piano and teach private piano lessons to about 20 students. I love watching them develop their talents. I am an avid reader and especially love historical fiction. I am the mother of two boys and two girls. I am the grandmother of four boys and four girls. The happiness and welfare of my family is the most important thing in the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a very strong testimony of Jesus Christ. I know He is my older brother and continues to bless my life every day through prayer and study. It gives me great comfort to know where I came from, why I am here on this earth, and where I can return to if I make good choices and decisions in my life. I have had a few health issues in my life and have felt the comfort and peace that I needed to get through these challenges. I know without a doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I wouldn't want to try and live without it.

How I live my faith

At this time in my life I am serving as the ward organist for sacrament meetings and I am also the accompanist for the Choir. I have taught music in both the organization for children 3 to 11 years old and in the youth organization ages 12 to 18. I am a visiting teacher to four ladies. I make a connection with each of them each month to see if they have any problems or need help in any way. We are great friends and help each other. I also take advantage whenever I can to take food into people who may be in need of that kind of service.
