Hi I'm Andre

I grew up in New Hampshire and Arizona. I love the outdoors. I'm a web and database programmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. I love sports and the outdoors. My favorite things to do are cycling, rock climbing, hiking, playing soccer and volleyball. We love to go camping as a family. I graduated from Arizona State University with a business degree in computer information systems management. One of the best hikes I've been on was a hike to Havasu Falls near the Grand Canyon. The water falls and blue green water are amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

Since before I was born, my dad was always searching for some meaning in his life. When I was 8 years old he found a doctrine and covenants book at a Goodwill store. He read it, and then went and found a Book of Mormon at the same Goodwill store. We spent 2 weeks on the road traveling from California to New Hampshire, while my dad read the Book of Mormon. Once we were in New Hampshire, my dad looked up the church and our family was taught by the missionaries. In a matter of a few months we were all baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My life has never been the same since. I can truly say that our family remained a family and not a broken home because of the Church and the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives. The knowledge that I know where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going brings peace and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I'm currently the Scoutmaster in our ward. I have the opportunity to work with 12 and 13 year old boys as we participate in scouting activities. It's great to see them learn and have fun. The church and the scouting program changes their lives for the better.
