Hi I'm Cody

I'm a Mormon. I am a husband, father of 4 and a provider.

About Me

I am not an army brat but grew up all over, Utah, Texas, Missouri, California, and Florida. But mostly Florida. I am an avid sports person, grew up skateboarding, surfing, playing baseball (catcher), wrestling, and football. My current interests and hobbies are hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, playing with the kids and watching sports on TV (hurts too much to play them anymore). In 2001 I meet and married the perfect woman for me, she helps to keep me in line and because we share the same beliefs in Jesus Christ and standards we have a great marriage. We have 4 wonderful children, 3 girls and a boy. And we are just about finished building our second and hopefully last home. My wife and I have done about 90% of the construction our-self's. I received my bachelors degree in Information Technology. And I am the Scout Master of a scout troop of 14 and 15 year old boys that helps me stay active and gives me a good excuse to go cliff jumping.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints I know that I have free agency to go and do as I please. When I was about 19 years old and not very active in my faith and having walked a little on wild side. I felt that I was missing something, that the path I was traveling was not taking me where I wanted to go in life. So I decided then to serve a mission for Christ. I spent 2 year in Mexico teaching and learning, but mostly learning. When I returned home from that mission I knew that I would always be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. I had feel his love for me. I was a completely different person with that knowledge. More sure of myself and most importantly I made that decision on my own. I know that Christ lives, and I know that Christ has a Prophet on the earth to lead us back to him. No buddy was telling me what to do. It was what I want to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church each and every week and by serving in my ward. I am the 14 and 15 year old Scout Master in the ward and get to spend lots of time with the boys teaching and playing and just having a good time. I try to teach the boys service by helping others in need. We have a night each week that is just for the Family to spend time together. We try and read the scriptures daily as a family, although it does not always happen because life happens.
