Hi I'm Alaina Bumm

I am serving a full time mission in Hawaii. I am one of 10 children. 7 of my siblings are adopted. I'm a mormon

About Me

I love spending every moment I have with my family. I love to hike. I love quad-riding and going to the California sand dunes. I am the oldest of my siblings and love being a big sister. I am bubbly and outgoing. I always look for a new adventure. I live life to the fullest

Why I am a Mormon

My sophomore year of high school I had to make a really hard decision. I prayed a lot, I cried a lot. I am so glad I followed the Spirit with the decision I made even though I wasn't entirely happy with the decision. I know God has a special plan for each and every person on this Earth. I hope that everyone see's that. If you or someone you know is ever in doubt, in a rough situation, whatever it may be, pray. I promise it will help. If you've never prayed before, try it. It will honestly and truly bless your life. I love this gospel with all my life and I hope to share it with many people who are interested in it. I was blessed by being born into this church, but I always took it for granted as a child. The past few years I have been trying so much harder to become a better member and it has blessed my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this church. Another recent experience happen. When they changed the age of when missionaries can go, I didn't think much about it. But something kept telling me to consider a mission. After a few days of praying and fasting and thinking long and hard about it, I decided a mission was the right thing for me. I have received my call to Hawaii and I couldn't be happier. I know that going on this mission will bless me in ways I never thought possible.

How I live my faith

I am always encouraging people, it's something I do. I do have a few callings in the church, but even when I didn't have them I loved to encourage people. I love to make people smile and be happy. When I see someone having a bad day I either talk them through it and give advice as I can or I say or do something that makes them forget the bad day they had just had. Those who are able should try to brighten someone's day, even if that person is already having a good day. It is important to show those around you that you care.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Alaina Bumm
The family is eternal. It is as simple as that. We have many adopted children in my family, and we have had the opportunity to be sealed to them as well. I can't even begin to express what joy and peace comes from know that I will have my family for eternity. The experiences I have had with them, and all the good times, and the hardships; we are here for each other. I could not have asked to be in a better suited family than my own. They are my whole life, and I love that I have that reminder everyday that they will be mine forever Show more Show less
