Hi I'm Austin

I'm a twin. I'm an adventurer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up (as far as a career goes). I spent a few months working in a hospital in Tennessee where I transported patients to different treatment areas. I met many wonderful people, and learned a thing or two while I was at it. I play the piano. I love listening to music. I love doing anything outside: camping, running, biking. I love my family and friends. I love the Lord and His Gospel. I served as a full-time missionary missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served in Vitória, Brazil and Wichita, Kansas!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life. I believe that everyone needs to be converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ regardless of whether or not they grew up around the religion. I have read The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and taken Moroni's Challenge as well as studied other holy scriptures. I have tested this Church out for myself and have received a sacred witness that it is true. I love the Savior Jesus Christ. I know that His Atonement is real. He suffered for the sins and afflictions of all mankind so that sinners like me could make it back home to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know without a doubt, that the Holy Ghost is an actual personage of spirit and that He witnesses of truth to our minds and our hearts with an undeniable assurance. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and the Lord restored this Gospel through him in this dispensation. I testify to you that all of this church's General Authorities are called of God. I know that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

For me each day starts with a prayer and study of the scriptures. I value the sacred communication I can receive from the Lord. I know all who seek the Lord can draw near unto Him on a personal level. I do my best everyday to be kind to those I meet and associate with. I offer a hand in community sponsored service projects as often as possible. I meet with members of the Church on a regular basis in both formal and informal settings where we teach, edify, and serve one another.
