Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a busy Mother of 5 and run a small business and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother of 2 and a step-mom of 3! I am a thyroid cancer survivor and a lunch catering business partner! I revel in a great romantic movie and bask in the opportunity of eating out! I loooovvvve to read - you won't find me without a book tucked into my purse ... just in case! I enjoy cooking and enjoy my husband enjoying cooking even more! I like to find something to organize and don't handle change well, which is inconvenient in my seemingly chaotic life! I am deeply affected by music and occasionally write poetry! I am married to an amazing and hilarious man who still thinks I'm beautiful after 11 years and somehow loves me in spite of myself! My children are my greatest blessing and we love to play games and legos, make and eat treats, watch movies (with popcorn, of course) and get homework done as soon as possible! My youngest son has a bone disease and my youngest daughter has ADHD - the attention deficit part of that equation. Both challenges keep me learning and growing, praying and hoping for their tomorrows! Some days are hard and others are amazing! No matter what happens though, I'm glad we are all in it together!! I am also a daughter of doting parents, a great (as in favorite) granddaughter, a sometimes silly sister, an awesome aunt, a loyal friend and a daughter of God! I have a surprising sense of humor (because I'm so serious) and feel that I express myself better on paper! I believe -strongly- in chocolate, slippers, hugs, kissing and family!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for a mirad of reasons! Foremost is because I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives! I feel close to Him through my membership and attendance in this miraculous church! I find strength in the gospel of Jesus Christ when I face challenges that seem beyond my capabilities to meet, burdens that seem too heavy to bear! Having an expanded perspective is a huge blessing that keeps me moving forward when sometimes I feel I can only crawl, because I know that this life is just temporary, that there is more than just this life - eternity and immortality are next. I gain peace when I remember that my Heavenly Father loves me, knows me personally and knows what I'm going through and what I need, and is simply a simple prayer away. I find comfort through Jesus Christ who, through His own challenges and sacrifices, can relate with me and reassure me when I am struggling and discouraged - I am never all alone! And it just makes sense - that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and has a plan for me larger than my comprehension and longs for my return; that I am here to prove myself, be tested through my trials and weaknesses and hopefully succeed enough to earn a place with my Savior in the life to come by making and keeping covenants, being a loving and kind person and following Christ's example! I know that when I do everything possible, Christ can and will make up the difference! I feel joy in striving to be like Jesus Christ, and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints propels me forward in my learning and empowerment as well as in my journey toward "home!"

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best at whatever I am doing every day! Whether it's making a last minute order of sandwiches for a business or helping a customer plan delicious food for a future event, helping a young woman with a challenge or a craft, wiping tears or bandaging boo-boos, discussing family finances or this Friday's date-night plans, planning a family reunion or a brother's funeral ... I give 100%! I live my faith by keeping my promises, whether to God or man! I live my faith by being modest in the way I dress and in my spending! I live my faith by teaching my children how to be the best they can be, to be confident, honest, independent, loving, healthy, balanced, strong human beings that help each other and those they come in contact with! I live my faith by being (and becoming) the wife that my husband needs (and wants). I live my faith by listening to the Spirit so that even when I'm unsure of what to do next, I can step forward -into what seems like the dark- in faith and trust! I live my faith by being kind to others and helping whenever I can! I live my faith by being patient with myself and knowing that tomorrow is another day, another beginning! I live my faith by having hope! I live my faith by learning, studying, searching, praying, reading, listening, and in living the gospel of Jesus Christ!
