Hi I'm Rod.

I live in Iowa, work a railroad and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband to a loving eternal spouse and a dad to two great adult step-daughters. I enjoy being involved with Boy Scout activities, the outdoors, walleye and crappie fishing, turkey hunting, and bluegrass and old time country music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised and lead by the example of parents, family and extended family in another Christian denomination. I was happy and secure in my faith and was not looking to join any other church. Through friends and members I was introduced to the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and given the opportunity to ask questions, seek answers through prayer, and choose for myself what personal path I would take. All of the good things I had learned in my lifelong faith have developed a fuller, deeper meaning to me after taking a leap of faith to magnify and add upon those teachings as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

With gratitude for the opportunity, and a willing smile, I seek daily to lend assistance to anyone needing a helping hand in any way.
