Hi I'm Bethany

I love to laugh. I love spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of one sweet boy with another on the way. I have been been married to my best friend for over 7 years! I have the best of both worlds... I am blessed to be able to stay at home and raise my kids but I also have a small job that allows me to work from home. Due to having infertility issues for 4 years, I have longed for the day to be a mother. Although some days are harder than others, I constantly count my blessings for the opportunity to raise children of god. I love participating in team activities; I like the feeling of contributing but not feeling too much pressure. I have grown to enjoy cooking/baking and love to eat about anything! I love to help others; whether it be working in customer service, surprising someone with an extra hand, or just listening, I love being able to be there for others.

Why I am a Mormon

The personal reasons I have for being a mormon are so sacred/special to me and it is hard to share. I have always wanted others to know I was mormon because of how I act, not because of what I preach. There are so many reasons why I continue to follow this gospel. I built my testimony slowly as a teenager and continue to grow stronger in this faith by the small and simple things I do each day. As I have faced trials in my life as an individual and as a family, I have gotten on my knees and prayed for comfort and peace and I have always received it. My trials did not vanish, but the feeling I received allowed me to see a bigger picture and have faith that I could learn something from it. I also choose to be a mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and am so indebted to him. He not only came to earth to receive a body for me, but he gave his life for me so I could have an opportunity to come to earth and receive a body. I am a follower of him and very proud to be one. I am constantly reminded, on a daily basis, that I have so much to work on to be a better person but at least I have a good example to follow. I am proudly a member of this gospel because I love how focused it it on families. My family is my life; I can't imagine not having that support system. I am grateful that I am sealed to my family forever so even though I will die one day, I will get to live with them all someday in heaven. My reasons for being mormon might not seem so profound to others, but for me, I am all about simple and this gospel just makes sense. I cannot deny it.... not today or ever!

How I live my faith

Currently, there are many things I do to live my faith. I am so fortunate to work with the youth girls in my church. We get to spend time together every Sunday by having a lesson together to focus on what is important in life. Then, we also meet at least once during the week to learn life skills or do service for the community. I have also been blessed to be able to visit a couple different women in my church on a monthly basis so we can be a support for each other. This has been a huge blessing for me, because it has allowed me to become friends with some that I might not naturally gravitate to. I also live my faith by praying to my father in heaven on a daily basis, reading my scriptures, and serving others. All these things help me keep my life headed down a selfless path and I am very grateful for these opportunities.
