Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a Freshman in college. I'm a pianist and violist! I'm a Daughter of a King. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California but have lived and grown up in good ole Arizona most of my life. I love my family. I am the youngest and have two awesome older brothers and wonderful parents! They have all taught me the importance of finding joy through any circumstance, and the wonderful medicine of laughter. I cherish the fact that our family can be together forever. Something that has greatly blessed my life is beautiful music! I play the piano and the viola and couldn't be more grateful for the happiness it brings me. I also love to learn! I'm a big fan of math and science, especially health science. I am a full time college student and right now I am majoring in Nursing. I hope that someday I can bring help, joy and comfort to others. I love to serve others and make the feel loved and special. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS faith. My grandparents on both sides of my family are the ones who first joined the church. I am grateful for their decision to do so and their strong faith. They raised my parents in the Gospel and my parents have done so for me. My parents are a wonderful example to me and have helped me gain my own testimony. I know that I am a Child of God, a Daughter of a King. I know God loves me, and that's what gives my life purpose. He knows my name and knows the trials I face. I know that he sent me to this earth at this specific time because he knew that this is when I would be needed and that this is what I needed and had been prepared for. I know that He has a plan for me, as He has a plan for all of His children. I know that by having faith in and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can return to live with Him once again. I have a strong testimony of the living prophets today. I know that they are inspired by the Spirit and that they are God's mouthpiece. I love to read the scriptures. By reading them I constantly find answers to my prayers. I love to pray to my Heavenly Father, I am able to speak to him and pour out the concerns and desires of my heart and I know that He is there. He will listen and answer. The answers may not come at the time I want, but I know with a surety that they will come in time. Through praying and scripture reading, I feel a peace that comes as a burning in my heart and strengthens my testimony. I am thankful for the restored Gospel and the Prophet Joseph Smith. He was a true Prophet and gave his life for the truthfulness of the Gospel. I believe in Christ; He is my King. He is my greatest example! He has overcome more pain than I could ever bear. I can rejoice in Him and all He has done for me; I rejoice in His love. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the truest book I have ever read. It is a book I can easily relate to and is a great testament that God knows me and that Christ lives!

How I live my faith

I like to play church hymns on the piano and viola.Through this, I have been able to bear my testimony through the songs or hymns that I play. Each time I play a hymn, I try to say the words in my head. They are always a constant reminder to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel. Bearing my testimony through music brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and my Eternal goal. :) Some may say that it would be too hard to become a member of the church because there are too many restrictions. I don't feel restricted at all. It is all about my choice, but there is a positive and a negative consequence to all things. I can choose to follow the standards of the church. If I were forced to, how could I ever gain a testimony of my own? When I follow the standards and keep the commandments, I feel as if things seem to work out and fall into place. When I have faith, keep myself clean, and my standards high, I will be prepared to stand against temptations and the whirlwinds that will try to knock me off my course. :) I am never happier than when I am living the Gospel! :)
