Hi I'm Victoria

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a registered nurse and I work at a nursing home part-time. I try to stay home as much as I can with my sweet baby boy. I grew up dancing at an after-school dance studio and I danced in my university's ballet company while I was at school. I like to read fiction (nothing too serious or trashy), I'm a blogger, I've dabbled in scrapbooking, and I'm trying to learn to crochet so I can make cute things for my kids. I'd like to have fabulous vegetable and flower gardens but I'm still working on greening my thumb. I like to make desserts and good food but I hate trying to decided what we're going to have for dinner.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but there are many other reasons why I am a member today. The principles that I've been taught and the standards that I've lived by as a member of this church just feel right, they make me happy because of how they've influenced my decisions. It's given me a power in and over my life so that I have few regrets, which is a good thing as regret weighs heavily on my heart. This gospel helps me be a better person and shows me how to do so. It gives me peace in my heart; peace with myself and peace with the world around me. My testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has come slowly and in layers. Recently I've found that this church strengthens my family and helps us combat all the forces of the world that tear us apart. I know that if I teach my sons the same principles that I was taught and raise him in this church that he will become a strong and good person. I am a member of His church because I've had the Holy Spirit witness to my heart and my mind that this is the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church as the secretary for the children's organization. I try to keep the presidency organized as they supervise and coordinate the teaching of the children. I also serve by visiting certain women that I've been assigned to and providing them with friendship, spiritual uplifting, and service.
