Hi I'm Heather

I am a daughet, a sister, a wife and a mother to two sets of twins. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to two sets of twins. My husband and I struggled to have children and turned to fertility treatments. Having to do fertility treatments is definitely a roller coaster and we said many, many prayers. We were so excited for the first set of twins. When they were just two years old we decided to do another round of IVF, assuming it could possibly take a few years. We were very shocked to say the least to find out two more children were headed our way. So here we are, four kids age 2 and under. Our youngest child was diagnosed with epilepsy after suffering many seizures which almost took his life. Again, through many prayers we were blessed. So being a full time wife and mother takes most of my time. I still manage to do my crafts and watch my shows! I love history, I love this country, I love my humble yet fulfilling life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. I was truly converted just after High School. My Dad struggled with a lung disease and lost his life during a lung transplant the summer before my Senior year. I turned to Heavenly Father and received the peace I was searching for and also grew to understand my Savior, Jesus Christ, and his atoning sacrifice. Almost a year later, lightning struck our home and burned it down along with pretty much everything inside. I couldn't understand why Heavenly Father would allow this to happen. I was still healing from the death of my Dad and this just seemed too much. I wondered if everything I believed and was taught was even true. I didn't want to pray, but I knelt down anyway and asked for some kind of understanding. It wasn't a long prayer, I cried most of the time. After a few trying weeks I received a powerful witness that this church IS true and that Heavenly Father loves me and all of His children. Since then I have had many other trials, some brought on by myself and others out of my control. I continue to strengthen my testimony of this church through every experience and trial in my life. I KNOW this church is true. I know the principles it teaches are correct. If I didn't know this without a doubt I would have left a long time ago. I know Jesus Christ lived on this earth and died for us. And most of all, I know that Heavenly Father loves his children and has given us this gospel to help us return to Him.

How I live my faith

In the past I have served in the church by teaching lessons on Sunday to the women, planning activities, teaching the children from age 18 months up to age 11. I currently am a Visiting Teacher, which means I visit two women every month in their home and discuss a topic to help improve ourselves. I try to read my scriptures and pray every day, although I confess sometimes I am just too tired! But I try and that's what's important to me. I try and live my faith by doing my best every day and lifting up others along the way.
