Hi I'm Kayla

I love to dance. I'm studying Social Work and Occupational Therapy. I have 23 siblings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in a small town down south in Texas. I am studying social work and then I plan on going to grad school to study occupational therapy. I have 23 siblings in my family. They are amazing and I could not imagine my life without them. I have been brought up in a very unique setting and I would not change it for anything. It is a blessing to know that I will have my family with me in eternity. I love to have fun! Just a few things I like to do are...*bowling*boating*tubing*eating*going to the beach*going to church*hanging with friends* watching movies*being with my family*playing pool* watching football (especially the Longhorns)*guitar hero* singstar *listening to music*driving with the windows down and most of all DANCING :D...I try my best to live life to the fullest and be happy; I love to laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents were a great example to me when I was younger however, as I grew up I had to discover my own testimony of the church through prayer. Going through trials has helped me realize that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have great love for all of his children and never leave the side of a child of God in time of need. Trials test our faith and I have been able to get through them by remembering the great plan that our father has for us. I am Mormon because I love that the church teaches of the great plan of life. If I have a question about anything, I can receive answers through prayer and scripture study. I love the church, it brings so much happiness and provides hope to bring me up when life tries to bring me down. Great things have come from being part of and living the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person I can be. I strive to be a great example to those around me. I remember that I am a follower of Jesus Christ and everything I do should exemplify just that. I love to take part in church activities. I attend a student branch, which is where all the people who attend also go to the same university. It helps to create a bond and we are like a family. It is great to have friends with the same values while one is away from their family and living on their own. I also go to religious classes throughout the week. The classes are fun and help me take a break and feel at peace while enduring an intense week at school. I am currently serving as president of LDSSA (Latter Day Saint Student Association). It is an organization on campus that was created to help college students succeed in their studies, and achieve a balanced educational and social life while on campus and also to motivate LDS students to become a powerful influence for good on the college campus. Being president has helped me reach out to others and share my testimony of the church. It is important to continually be involved in church activities to keep one's faith and testimony strong. There is no doubt in my mind that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and it has brought me the greatest happiness in my life. Everything good in my life has come from living my faith and how grateful I am that I know God's amazing plan. He is a man of patience, hope, forgiveness, and most of all LOVE.
