Hi I'm Geoff

I'm an outdoor enthusiast, a graduate student in architecture, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho as the youngest of 6 to two wonderful parents.I served as missionary in the Yekaterinburg, Russia Mission, and I am fluent in Russian. I am married to my wonderful wife, whom I met in 2008. I live for every moment I can have in the wilderness, whether backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, snowboarding, cross country skiing, etc. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Construction Management and I am currently in graduate school, working towards a Masters in Architecture.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I ever really developed a knowledge of the truthfulness of the teachings of this church, I knew that it was something good. It didn't take long to notice that if I led a clean life, free from immorality, drugs, dishonesty, and of selfishness, I would be happy. Every good decision I have made, requiring sacrifice and delayed gratification, has been because of Christ's teachings. Being a Mormon has given my life a sense of balance and stability. The joys I feel from living by its teachings get me through the day, and they never leave me, no matter what is thrown my way. But even more so, I am Mormon because I believe this in the only true church which holds the priesthood keys that can allow my wife and I, and some day our children, to be together forever. I believe Jesus Christ lives. I believe that we are each sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. I know He has a plan for each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through action. Everyday I try to emulate Christ's life through my actions. I attend church meetings to improve myself, and others attending. I try to attend activities to get to know other people, whom I can associate with and try to serve. I read the Book of Mormon and The Bible and other scriptures to give me a sense of direction and to help me with decisions. I look for opportunities to get outside myself and work towards a greater cause.
