Hi I'm Terressa

I was born and raised in VA. I'm a single mom of three wonderful children & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First of all let me start by saying hello! I am a single mother of three beautiful children. Faimly means the world to me. I enjoy spending as much time them as possible. My children and I are the only ones out of our faimly that are Mormons. We have been a member of the church for about a year and I enjoy every moment of it. I spend alot of my time working. I am also currently attending college classes in the evenings. Some of my hobbies consist of fishing, working in my flower garden and as i have already stated, spending time with my family. The main thing is that i love the Lord and I try every day to become more like Christ. Joining the church was one of the smartest decisions that I have ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the church at work. It still amazes me how it came about. I was transferred to work at a job location in another city. I remember my first day of trainning, an employee and myself were working together and the conversation about church came up. The employee being a member of the church had asked me if i would come and visit. I agreed but had no intention in really going. One Sunday my kids and i decided that we wanted to visit a church near the church that my co-worker was attending. As i was pulling into the church's parking lot i noticed the church down the street with a with THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS on the front. We made a u-turn and went in and had service with my co-worker. I was amazed at how much love we recieved on that Sunday. My children for the first time had started asking if we could join that church. At the time we were just visiting different churches on Sunday's trying to find the one that made us feel comfortable, I knew that this was it. We continued to attend and started meeting with the missionaries once a week so that we could learn more about the church. Everything was becoming so clear to me about what the missionaries were teaching and on my birthday my kids and i were baptised and have been members every since.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as an assistant with the youth at achievment night on Wednesdays. I was also called to teach a youth sunday school class. It's an honor for me to be able to serve the lord with my talents.
