Hi I'm Charisse

I am a mother of 6 amazing children! I love date night with my husband and I love spending time with my family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 3rd oldest in a family of 10 children. I think my parents are amazing and I love my family! I am now married to my best friend and we have 6 fabulous children! I am blessed to be able to stay home and take care of my family. My sweetie always tells me that I am the CEO of our family. It takes a lot of hard work, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Everything I do is for my family. There are many things that are required to run a home and I love all of it. I am especially grateful for the tender moments when I am able to give hugs, listen, wipe tears, encourage, laugh, love, spend time with and hear, "I love you mom!". I take my role as mother and wife very seriously and I am always trying to be better. I also enjoy running, photography, shopping with my girls, traveling, relaxing on the beach, reading, road trips with my family, a good conversation with a friend, date night with my sweetie, playing games and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I was raised in the gospel. I chose to be baptized when I was eight years old. I loved the feeling I had when I went to church & learned about Jesus Christ. As I got older I read the Book of Mormon by myself and prayed to see if it was true. I know that Heavenly Father heard and answered my prayer and I felt a peace in my heart that it was true. I know that feeling was the Holy Ghost. I believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know me and They love me. I know this because I pray everyday and I feel of Their love. I also believe that when we obey the commandments we are happy. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that by reading it daily and abiding by its precepts, I can be happy in this life. I believe that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to the earth and I am grateful for everything he went through so I can read the Book of Mormon every day. I believe that President Monson is our true prophet today on the earth and that he tells us what Heavenly Father wants us to hear. I believe that families can be together forever and that makes me so happy because I love my family so much and I want to be with them forever! I know that temples are sacred places here on earth where we can go to feel the love and peace of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that I am so happy in my life because I have the gospel in my life. It helps me as I work through my challenges and trials in this life. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and for his Atoning sacrifice. I know it is real because I have applied it in my own life. I love life & the opportunity I have to learn and grow. I want to become a better person and I know that the gospel helps me to do that. I love all the programs the church has. They help everyone in my family. I am also grateful for the Holy Ghost that brings peace to my heart. I love Jesus Christ and I love my Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

Everyday at 6:00 a.m. my husband wakes up our family to read scriptures together and have family prayer together. We also read a portion of a pamphlet that the church created called, For the Strength of the Youth. We have 3 teenagers in our home and we want to remind them everyday of their standards. After family scriptures and prayer, I go into my room and say my own personal prayer and I read from the Book of Mormon. This helps me to daily have the Spirit with me and to feel peace and be happy. Throughout the day I pray to Heavenly Father at meal times, if my children have a test, if my husband has an important meeting or if I need help with a problem. Each night before we go to bed, we gather as a family and say family prayer. Once a week on Monday night we get together as a family. We turn off the TV, put phones away, and spend some time together. We sing a song, say a prayer, have a lesson, play a game, and end with a fun treat! We just love being together as a family with no other distractions! Every Sunday our family goes to church. We get to learn about Jesus Christ and feel His love and the peace that comes from living the gospel. Right now I teach the 4 and 5 year old children. I love my primary class and am grateful for all of them. I love singing songs with them and learning with them. Little children are so sweet and are such good examples. I also try to attend the temple a few times throughout each month. This helps me to feel peace and to feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love the eternal perspective I feel when I go to the temple. It helps me to not get caught up in the things of this world, but to remember that I am on this earth to learn how to be more like Jesus Christ. My family is what is most important. I know that as I do these simple things I am happier. I thank my Heavenly Father all the time for the knowledge I have of the gospel. I am blessed and wish I could share it with everyone!
