Hi I'm Fred

I grew up all over the country moving from many states over my youth. quit my business to become school teacher & Coach.

About Me

I grew up in a rough home environment with no stability, I made many poor choices which caused my life to head in the wrong direction for many years. Because of some of these choices I was unable to play baskeball for many D-1 colleges. Not until I walked out of Highschool my senior year in Atlanta and went to live with a family in utah for many years that I changed. With there support I Obtained a Highschool degree and attented a small jr college for a couple years. made some major changes and eventually served a full time mission, which changed my life for ever for the better, many of my blessings stem from this one choice. once I returned from my mission I married rather quickly, and it was a wrong decision, it only lasted 10 months, it was difficult knowing that I needed to get out, and came to an undrstanding with the lord was the only way I got through it. shortly after my divorce I met my currrent wife of 12years. I ran my own business for 11 years and just recently I found out that my partner was not as honest and moral as I thought. My wife and I decided to walk away and finish school, to become a teacher and a coach. I have had many trials in my life and some were self inflicted, but through it all I know that the lord was and is very aware of my life and who I can become. Because I am a mormon I am alive today and have so many blessings that give me a peace that can not be matched from anything

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because in todays turbulant world I need to know that the savior lives and provides peace amidst the chaos. Having a knowledge of the Savior and his sacrifice means I can handle whatever this world throws at me. I know that god knows and loves me, and because of this knowledge I can face the tough times with a better perspective of what is important. I know that trials will come and that is what this life if for, a refiners fire. I know that my trials could be taken away from me if it be the lords will, but thankfully he knows what I need to improve myself and become like him. these trials offer me the opportunity to stay humble and learn to continually rely upon him which ultimately is the only source of lasting peace.

How I live my faith

I try and live my life conducive to the teachings of the church of jesus christ and this allows me to have so much more comfort and freedom. I can not imagine dealings with some of lifes struggles without knowing that I have a savior and father in heaven who will always listen to my prayers and be a source of strength. knowing that the savior and father in heaven have put so much energy into who I can become, is a source of motivation to strengthen myself daily and become better.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Fred
husbands and wifes are to respect and care for one another and walk side by side. because love will live forever so does the relationship that created it. I would not want to live and put forth so much effort in a spouse and relationship that will end with death, knowing we are together for eternity helps me to try harder each day to be a better father and husband to my wife and 3 children Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Fred
we do not worship joseph smith but revere him and his work that the lord had for him to do. we do not pray to joseph smith, we pray to heavenly father through our mediator who is the savior. but joseph has done more for the salvation of man than any other in the history of the world other than the savior. because of the simple truths regarding the saving ordinances he restored we can have joy and peace in this life and in the life to come. What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Fred
baptism is a saving ordinance that represents and outward symbol of an inner committment. we have the example of the savior and how he was baptized by john the baptist. with this knowledge, how and when we are baptized are no longer in question, this is a blessing. also having the proper priesthood authority is really what seperates us from others. the priesthood is the power to act in gods name, this is on of the great blessings that were brought back to the earth thru josheph smith.
