Hi I'm Liz

I'm a full time student, working a full time job, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Between juggling work, church, school, family, and friends my life stays pretty crazy. When I am able to find those rare moments of spare time I like to make things (especially crochet or latch hook projects), hang out with friends, read a good book, or go dancing. I especially enjoy being able to invite a bunch of friends over for movie or game nights.

Why I am a Mormon

On some level I think I have always been able to feel that the church was true. I was born and raised in the church so it wasn't really something that I thought about. I just knew that it was a part of who I was. As I got older though, I started paying more attention. When I went to church, said my prayers, and read my scriptures I was happy. When I missed a day, I could feel the difference within myself. Sometimes it got kind of lonely because I was the only Mormon in my high school, but I knew that it was worth the trade. I knew that my Savior loved me. I had felt that love in my life. Through the years that followed I held onto that knowledge, and it saw me through some hard times. I know that I can face whatever life may throw at me because I know that I will never have to face it alone. Through following the teachings of the church I have found peace and joy in my life. I know that this is God's church restored again. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have felt the power it brings into my life. I have seen these truths change lives, including my own.

How I live my faith

For many years I taught Sunday school classes for children. Now I plan activities for women to come together to have fun as they grow closer to Christ and to each other. I try to make the Savior a part of each and every day through prayer and scripture study. On a more personal level I try to help others find that same love and peace that I have felt.
