Hi I'm Dustynn

I grew up in Arizona. I'm a wife, a mother, and a Registered Nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid crafter/DIYer, a mother to a wild and crazy little girl, a wife to the most wonderful husband! I love to refinish and re-purpose old things and make them new and beautiful. I love camping, and being in the great outdoors with my family. Home-made ice-cream and dutch oven cobbler are two of my favorite things. I love to exercise and be active in any way that I can, such as going for a bike ride with my little girl in tow. Being a mother is the most wonderful thing, I love watching my baby girl grow and can't wait to give her brothers and sisters to grow with.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church since birth, however, there have been times throughout my life when I was the only member of my immediate family faithfully attending church. Because of this, there have also been times in my life when I felt like i had no one to talk to that would understand my needs. It was in times like these that I turned to the only person who knew me and what I needed, my Heavenly Father. I always felt safe and secure when I would reach out to Him for help and I always knew that He would be there for me. I know and have known my whole life that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the Earth today. I know that Jesus Christ is at the head of it and is over all the church does. It is the most wonderful feeling in the world to know that I have the truth and that I am on the right track and as long as I live the principles and doctrines taught I will enjoy true happiness, not only in this life but the next as well. I know that we have a living Prophet on the Earth today to lead and guide us in the way we should go. I know that this church has been restored in its perfect form. This does not mean that all members of the church are perfect. None of them are. This is what we aspire to become, perfect even as Jesus is perfect. But we do not become that way automatically by joining the church. Each member works throughout their life to become better and to be what our Savior would have us be. In the church we help each-other reach our full potential. We grow in ways that lead us back to our Heavenly Father. We teach our children correct principles and help them develop their own testimonies. We share the love of Christ with all.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is one of service and that is exactly what we do in it. We serve others. We help others grow. I have had many opportunities within the church to teach young children about Jesus and what is right. I have also worked with youth as well as the women of the church. It has been a huge blessing to me to be able to serve in many ways. We not only serve in the church but we take every opportunity to serve and help family and friends and others outside the church. I have felt the great peace and happiness that comes from serving others and it is in those times that I am most happy. Each month I have the opportunity to get with another lady member and visit others in our community. We visit with them, see how they are doing as well as their families, and offer any assistance that might be needed. This allows friendships that last forever to develop. I try to be an example of righteousness in all aspects of my life, wherever I am, and whatever I am doing. This helps others to know what I believe and helps me grow at the same time. My greatest calling within and out of the church is to teach my baby girl (and other children that are sure to follow) about Jesus Christ and the gospel so she (they) can have the same wonderful opportunities and happiness that I have experiences throughout my life. It's not always easy but it is why I am here and it brings me the most joy.
