Hi I'm Erica

Family. Motorcycles. Hawaiian Beaches. Pizza. History. Travel. Spanish. Halloween. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college graduate with a degree in Anthropology. I love learning about other cultures-- and the best way to do that is to live among them. I have lived in the islands of Tonga, the Holy City of Jerusalem, and the exotic London, England. I love to travel and be spontaneous. My family is the greatest gift God has given me. I adore my parents, grandparents, siblings, and newborn niece. They are my favorite people to hang out with. I love wrestling with my brothers. I love to read and and learn history. I love going out to the movies, often by myself because I hate movie talkers. I love my motorcylce and my longboard. I love being outside. I hate it being less than 80 degrees. I love speaking spanish-well, I fake it till I make it. My dream is to live on a yacht in the middle of the Pacific. I love my Savior and His gospel that I have in my life, and I love being a missionary at this time, sharing His gospel with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for many reasons. I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ because I know the difference in my life when I do follow them and when I don't. And I must say I'm so much more happy, patient, loving, and better off when I do follow Jesus Christ. I have commited myself to follow the commandments and make time for God every single day. I know that my Savior loves me, and that he sacrificed so much for me, so I want to strive everyday to make sure that sacrifice wasn't in vain. I want to be better everyday and become more like the Savior.

How I live my faith

I believe God deserves more than 3 hours of church every Sunday. I try to live my faith every single day by the way I serve others, the way I react to things that might happen, and how I grow in my knowledge of the goodness of God. I make time for God everyday by studying the scriptures and praying frequently. I continually strive to work on having patience and control, because everyday somthing new is thrown at me. I believe how I react is a good indication of how much I strive to follow Christ. I try to serve others and be a good listener, and work everyday to put others first. I've noticed that when I focus on others, to make sure that they feel loved, I have more spiritual power, more confidence in my life. I know who I am. I am a daughter of God. Sometimes people forget that, and I know that I can help others realize that again by how much love and service I show them.
